Trinity Sunday
We have heard so many great things throughout our Christian life, but somehow we still do not fully comprehend what God has done or what God is doing. Today, we look at the Trinity. Do we really know and understand the Trinity? We know them as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But these are just names. Christ was one who truly understood the plan of the Father. He said He would not leave His disciples until the Helper has been sent. In our Christianity, we just take things as they happen. But there is a plan. God set the plan from the beginning. Before creation, there was nothing. But God in all His wisdom and greatness put everything into place. The sun alone is such an awesome part of His creation. It gives us energy, vitamins, it enriches the soil. It’s been there since the beginning of time and it is still shining to this very day.
Then He caused man to be created and be developed. Man was made in the image and likeness of God. This truth has never been changed in His plan. When man disobeyed, sin entered, and so did sicknesses and death. But God did not give up. He sent His Son, prepared Him for 30 years, then 3 years of ministry work. Christ came to pay the penalty of man’s sin by going to the cross to restore humanity, the way God had intended from the beginning. After Jesus had done all the work in perfection, He asked the Father to send the Holy Spirit to strengthen and empower man to understand what they can do.
To summarize the Trinity:
God the Father – planning and putting all things together in place.
God the Son- redeeming and restoring mankind.
God the Holy Spirit- strengthens, empowers man to bring it to life.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit working together in unity. Having different functions but aiming towards one goal to build His kingdom.
Jesus is the righteousness taken up in glory. He gave up everything to become man, so that man may be made righteous again through His sacrifice, death, resurrection and ascencion. We need to really know who we are in Christ. We need to know and understand the work of the Trinity. We need to let the heart speak, to pay attention to God, to listen to Him. He will reveal things to us. There’s a need for us to constantly set aside quality time to be alone with God, to meditate on His righteousness, and let Him speak to us. 1 Timothy 3:16 Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
