Jesus reveals things to us for us to have hope. The people He had been preaching to, however, did not accept everything He taught which was frustrating. He had reached out to them in ministry. healed them, fed them, yet many still retained their old ways and did not repent. Blessings will come when we walk with Him. But even if Jesus had seen that the people had not changed their lives, He still continued to praise and thank the Father for what He had done. “I thank You that You hid these things from the wise, but reveals them to babes.” He knew that men who are “wise” think they know everything. That they have the solutions to all the problems. Wise, maybe, but in the ways of the world. They think they know better than anyone. For instance. People are now controlling the climate, blaming this to climate change. They are in reality causing others to have fear and anxiety. Scientists are even predicting floods in the future. And that they claim to know the solutions. But Christ turns to God even when the situations are frustrating when people do not repent from their evil ways after having heard the truth from Him.

Christ gives thanks to God, instead. Christ is totally equipped to do the work the Father has told Him to do. At that time, the Pharisees and the Scribes who were self-righteous were jealous of Christ and were angry at Him.

Sometimes we feel sorry for ourselves. Christ chooses those who are simple and ordinary and not those who are wise in the ways of the world. The world is in great difficulty because people think they are wiser than God. It’s love, not the hatred and bitterness which causes the enemy to flee. No one knows the Father more than the Son, and no one knows the Son more than the Father. John 14:9 “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father.” Jesus shows us the compassion and strength of God. God is at work in Christ and if Christ is in us, then we should be able to do God’s work. Christ says, “take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble.” When we understand this knowledge, we will be functioning in His power. Our ability becomes weakened if we do not follow Christ. Christ shares the load with us so therefore, things become lighter.

1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Consider your calling. There are only a few people who are wise. Only a few are mighty. When we walk with God, we will not fail. Jeremiah 6:-16 This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Everything God has promised will come to pass. 1 John 5:3 “In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.” Peace comes when we walk with God. Are we willing to let Him share our yoke or would we rather do things our own way? If we do this and oppose Him, this is when the enemy steps in.
